Exciting stories about the perils of life as an international election monitor kept Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead Soroptimists riveted at their July meeting.
The Soroptimists are professional ladies who meet regularly and raise money for good causes.
They also enjoy visits from speakers with interesting experiences to relate.
The guest speaker at the meeting held at Fredrick's Hotel, Maidenhead was Alison Sutherland who spoke about her experiences in Sierre Leone and Turkey while working as a monitor.
Members also enjoyed a summer garden party at a member's home during July.
August promises to be another fulfilling month socially for the ladies who will be visiting Savill Gardens.
