An illustrated talk by a man who has travelled the UK meeting craftsmen and women in their studios will raise money for Windsor Parish Church's organ fund.

Derek Reay, of Beaumont Road, Old Windsor, met 86 artists - ranging from internationally respected 'stars' to one who is literally 'the last of the line'.

The resulting book Significant Figures in Art and Craft Today will be on sale at the church in High Street on Wednesday, June 13, where Mr Reay will be giving an illustrated talk at 7.30.

Admission in free but donations to the fund will be welcome.

Mr Reay's book has earned itself a forward by the celebrated furniture maker and former chairman of Christie's Viscount Linley - known professionally as David Linley - who says: "I was delighted and surprised by the sheer variety and breadth of crafts and disciplines that this book entails."

Next week offers a unique chance to buy a copy and hear stories of its creation from the author.

Mr Reay is chairman of Windsor Theatre Guild and a respected professional photographer who has already published a book highlighting Windsor's 'movers and shakers'.

The church organ is in urgent need of repair at a minimum cost of £200,000 - of which £84,000 Still needs to be raised.
