Visitors planning to visit Windsor on royal wedding day might still be able to book a parking space in the town if they hurry.

The Royal Borough has a 6,000 car park available at the Review Ground just off the Long Walk - but tickets are being sold on a first come first served basis.

Tickets are £30 each - visit tickets.windsor.gov.uk/reviewground

Limited spaces will also be available at the Alma Road coach park - to be booked in advance, visit tickets.windsor.gov.uk/coachpark

Otherwise car owners are best advise to leave their cars at home on the big day and take the train, bus or bike - or even walk.

Windsor two railway stations will be laying on extra carriages. You can find more information about GWR services by following @GWRHelp on Twitter and www.gwr.com/royalwedding

Some bus routes into Windsor are subject to change on the day.

The Reading Buses Greenline 702/703 and the 16/16A Maidenhead and Windsor bus will both run normally, but people will be dropped off and picked up at King Edward VII Hospital, St Leonard's Road.

Courtney Buses' number 2 bus towards Slough and Dedworth will run between Orchard Avenue off Dedworth Road and Windsor Road at McDonalds - while the number 10 Dedworth to Heathrow will only take visitors into Windsor as far as Orchard Avenue off Dedworth Road and Datchet Green.

The 15/15A will not serve Eton High Street but will turn towards Slough at Eton College Chapel.

The First Beeline route 8 bus will not come into Windsor or Old Windsor after 7am although the 01 White Bus between Ascot and Windsor will operate in and out of Windsor from the old bus garage site

Cyclists will be advised to follow the National Cycle Network Route 4 clearly signposted on approaches from Slough, Maidenhead, Old Windsor and Staines. A map of cycle routes can be found on www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/route/route-4

The usual cycling ban on the Long Walk will be suspended to allow visitors to arrive.

There will also be signed walking routes to help visitors get into town, with stewards and ambassadors along the route. But be early - the crossing points over the Long Walk from the town centre are likely to close around 11am so people need to take this into account when they plan their journeys
