CCTV footage has emerged regarding a pair the police would like to speak to regarding the fatal attack on 50-year-old Mohammed Rasheed in Goswell Hill, Windsor on September 10.

Detective Chief Inspector Ailsa Kent, leading the investigation, said: “These individuals got in a purple and white taxi to leave the service road moments before the incident in which Mr Rasheed was injured.

“If you are one of the people in the images or you recognise them then please contact us on 101 as a matter of urgency.

“We would like to speak to the people in the photographs as we believe they may have information to help our investigation.

“We are also particularly keen to speak to the man with his back to the camera dressed in a black shirt and black trousers who appears to be holding a phone to his ear."

Two men have already been arrested on suspicion of murder. The pair, aged 28 and 31, are both from Surrey.

Mr Rasheed, who lives in Wembley, was found lying in the service area at the bottom of Goswell Hill, Windsor on Sunday, September 10 at 2am. Thames Valley police officers found him unconscious and being tended to by members of the public.

He died last Tuesday at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he was being treated for a serious head injury. The two arrested men have been released on police bail until September 29.

Senior investigating officer, Det Ch Insp Kent added: “We are appealing to people who go to any of the clubs and late night pubs in Windsor, who may have been out on the same night as Mr Rasheed.

“If you were in the service road area of Windsor near Goswell Hill between 1.50am and 2.10am on Sunday, September 10 you may have information and not realise.

Mr Rasheed’s Sister-in-law Dee Persaud said on Facebook: “My sister Shyama has lost her husband.

“My heart is broken, she never expected to be a widow at such a young age and didn’t even get a chance to say bye to him.”

It is understood that Mr Rasheed had earlier been at Bar Yello on the clubbing stretch in Goswell Hill. He was found not far from a taxi rank.

If you have information call police on 101 quoting reference URN 929 10/9/17.
