A terrorist sympathiser who pedalled poisonous propeganda drove past Windsor Castle, the Theatre Royal and Victoria Barracks shouting God is Great in Arabic.
Taha Hussain, 21, formerly of Langtree Avenue, Slough, was found guilty yesterday (Thursday) of seven counts of disseminating terrorist publications following a 15 day trial at the Old Bailey.
He was sentenced to four and a half years in prison at Kingston Crown Court.
Over a period of two years, Mr Hussain had become increasingly involved in extremist activities. A statement by Thames Valley Police said these included "encouraging others to instigate, prepare or commit acts of terror."
Mr Hussain also filmed himself driving outside the Cavalry Barracks, Hounslow, following the IS terror attacks in Paris (November 2015) and Orlando (June 2016), whilst listening to jihadi anthems encouraging support for IS.
Police uncovered 'disturbing' photos on his phone, in addition to a YouTube channel Mr Hussain created, through which he promoted extremist views, particularly that nobody should 'feel sorry' for the deaths of non-Muslims or 'the wrong kind of Muslims.'
Footage uploaded to his YouTube account included that of IS militants in combat, firing weapons, and blowing up buildings and vehicles.
Detective Chief Superintendent Kath Barnes, head of Counter-Terrorism Policing South East, said: “Extremist posts like the ones Hussain posted and shared have the power to influence other people, particularly those who may be young and impressionable or vulnerable for a variety of reasons.
"This could lead to those influenced individuals committing acts of terror which clearly has devastating effects on communities, the individual and their family and friends."
"We will be relentless in our efforts to keep people safe."
