Waterway fans are invited to make their own rafts and race them on the Roundmoor Ditch at Dorney Common on Saturday.
It is all part of the relaunch of the Eton Wick Waterways Group, which aims to keep an eye on watercourses surrounding the village.
It group is supported by the environmental charity Thames 21.
The relaunch begins at Eton Wick Village Hall at Haywards Mead between 10am and 1pm on Saturday, continuing on Dorney Common from 2pm and 4.30pm.
There will be exhibitions by Thames Water, the Environment Agency and Royal Borough and a chance to ask questions and voice concerns about the village's regularly polluted waterways.
But the fun part will be in the afternoon when families can learn to make a twig raft and take to the water.
Anyone interested can meet at the cattle grid in the afternoon. There is a chance to be creative, create your own mast, give your raft a name and there will even be prizes for the best raft.
