TRAFFIC on the M4 is experiencing major delays due to a vehicle collision and a fuel spillage.
The M4 eastbound between junctions 8/9 and junction 7 had two of its three lanes closed due to the collision that occurred at 7.22am this morning. A large amount of fuel and oil was spilled across the road.
Tailbacks were as far back as junction 6 for Slough and Windsor. Highways England said at its peak, there were '13.5 miles of congestion.'
Highways England said in a tweet that the wreckage and spill had been cleared at around 9.28am, although they indicated that there were still major delays down that stretch of road at the time of publication.
