The popular Windsor night market is making its fourth appearance this weekend - as the town's popular King Edward Court shopping centre relaunches itself under a new name.

From Saturday the centre - which was opened by the Queen in 1980 - will rebrand itself as Windsor Yards.

Centre Manager, Robert Gramson, said:  “We wanted the new name and look to reflect the shifting retail times and to have something that further cemented the connection to the town."

A day of celebrations will start on Saturday when trade stalls will be set up first thing in the morning in Peascod Street adjoining Windsor Yards.

The market will last all day and continue into the night when there will be a bar and children's rides to add to the excitement.

Meanhile an exciting range of family movies will be showing in the open at the Windsor Yards Centre.

The first one starts at 11am and is the animated film Sing - chosen by customers following a poll of customers on the old King Edward Court Facebook before the rebranding.

At 1.30pm you will be able to see the film Moana, at 4.30pm the 2017 version of Beauty and the Beast and at 7.30pm Grease with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Alongside each movie will be a themed workshops organised by Busy Buttons outside the old Fenwicks site, where children will be invited to make characters from the movies.

There will also be craft stands and entertainers to add to the excitement.
