A POLICE car was in collision with another vehicle on Dorney Common, on Wednesday, July 19.
At around 3:30pm, the police car, which was on operational duties, was in collision with a black Volkswagen Polo on the B3026. Both cars sustained damage to their front-right corner.
The police officer, a man in his 20s based at Maidenhead, and the driver of the other car, a 74-year-old woman, were both taken to Wexham Park Hospital.
They were treated for minor injuries and later released.
The police declined to comment on the reasons for the collision, saying that they were investigating the incident. It is unknown if it happened during a police pursuit.
As of now, the incident has not been referred to the Police Complaints Commission.
Thames Valley Police asked anyone who witnessed the incident to call Sgt Grant Thomas from Taplow Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1000, of 19 July.
