THREE men have been charged in connection with an attempted jewellery robbery in Windsor yesterday (September 8), which was thwarted by members of the public in broad daylight.
The incident, which happened at the Robert Gatward jewellers store in King Edward Court shopping centre, off Peascod Street, saw three alleged motorcycle riders held at the scene after bystanders intervened.
Perry Eustace, 26, of Bath Road, Slough, was charged last night with attempted robbery, possession of cannabis, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding with intent to resist or prevent arrest.
Reece Corr, 19, of Long Furlong Drive, Slough, and Laurence McLaughlin, 25, of Badger Close, Maidenhead, were both charged with attempted robbery and wounding with intent to resist or prevent arrest.
They appeared before Slough Magistrates’ Court this morning and were further remanded in custody.
