IT WAS a case of dome and dusted for a group of charitable climbers who conquered new heights in a fundraising challenge.

The iconic O2 arena, formerly the Millennium Dome, was climbed by 25 fundraisers on Sunday, September 13, to raise funds for The Dash – Domestic Abuse Stops Here – charity.

The adventurous participants, the youngest being just 11-years-old, were rewarded at the end of their climb with the magnificent views the O2 has to offer.

The event, which was the first of its kind in aid of the charity, raised £5,000 and donations are still coming in.

Every penny raised will go towards the charity’s refuge services, ensuring clients and their children receive the best support possible.

One of the climbers, Eunice Cubbage, said: “The climb was absolutely fabulous, I’m so glad I pushed myself to participate in this event and raise much needed funds for such a worthwhile cause.”

Dash is an independent charity offering a service that is completely confidential. It’s aim is to provide women, men and children with temporary emergency crisis accommodation, advocacy and outreach servies, mental health support, resettlement and specialist children and young people’s services.
