A WOMAN died from the effects of a mixture of prescribed drugs, an inquest has heard.

Eileen Cannon was found dead on the floor at her home in Sawyers Close, Windsor, during the evening of May 15 after concerned family members called the emergency services.

The 26-year-old was declared dead at the scene and a selection of prescribed medication was found throughout the house.

A toxicology report showed that Ms Cannon had six different prescribed drugs in her system to combat the effects of anxiety, depression, epilepsy and insomnia, but none were at a fatal level.

Coroner Peter Bedford said: "I cannot prove beyond all reasonable doubt that this was a deliberate overdose. There was no intention to harm oneself." A verdict of death by misadventure was recorded at the inquest held at Windsor Guildhall yesterday.
