CAFE Rouge has launched a new menu to celebrate its signature dish, steak frites.

The french restaurant has introduced a British-bred premium Charolais steak, named the 'bull's head' and Denis' Swiatek headed down to Windsor to try it calling the service 'impeccable' and the food 'devine'.

Pat Herlihy, Master Butcher and supplier for Café Rouge said: “The quality of these British-bred Charolais cattle is superb. I think Café Rouge is currently the only restaurant group serving a Charolais breed-specific, premium luxury steak”.

The Côte de Boeuf is called the 'bull's head' because of its characteristic shape and comes with a choice of sides, including frites, salad, potato dauphinoise and more.

To create the new seasonal menu, executive chef Duncan McEwan explored 26 years of Café Rouge dishes and Parisian cuisine – from its debut menu in 1989 right through to current French food trends. The new menu also includes bistro classics such as Escargots, Plateau Au Fromage, Confit De Canard and more.
