Windsor & Eton manager Keith Scott.

WINDSOR & Eton supremo Keith Scott was 'delighted' to claim three points from Tuesday evening's clash at home to Abingdon United.

The Royalists won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ben Porter but it was a tough game as the visitors to Stag Meadow were fresh from Saturday's win over Taunton Town.

The manager said: “It was a difficult game, they are a good side, they got a good victory on Saturday so we always knew it was going to be tough.

“Both sides tried to play a bit of football and at times it was scrappy - sometimes you’ve just got to grind results out. It was a tough game and ultimately that’s all I’m bothered about, we’ve won the game and I’m delighted."
