Windsor comeback for opening day win
Football
WINDSOR & Eton came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory on Saturday afternoon at Gosport Borough.
The hosts are tipped to do well this season but the Royalists laid down an early marker for their credentials with a win at Boro.
A late show from Windsor gave them the points after M Birmingham had put the hosts in front. Matt Seedel netted in the 76th minute with Michael Chennels scoring the winner nine minutes from time.
Assistant manager Jim Melvin said: "I'm delighted for the players.
"They worked really hard in pre-season and put in some good results but of course it doesn't matter until there are three points up for grabs.
"We started quite brightly then lost our shape for a while and their goal was a real comedy of errors.
"We came in at half time and had a full and frank exchange of views and I though we dominated from start to finish in the second half."
