A YOUTH has been remanded in custody following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Wraysbury.

At about 9.30am on Monday (11/8), neighbours called police concerned about suspicious activity at a rented house in Wraysbury Road. The windows were covered and running with condensation.

Officers entered the property and discovered a large number of cannabis plants. The plants were removed that evening and taken away for destruction.

A 17-year-old, of no fixed abode, was charged on Tuesday with the cultivation of cannabis and appeared before Slough Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (13/8) where he was remanded in custody.

He will appear before Maidenhead Youth Court on Tuesday (19/08) to face the charges.
