BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, WINKFIELD) (TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2018
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at a speed greater than 30mph in any direction along the following roads:
i) A329 London Road from a point 250 metres west of its roundabout junction with B3430 New Forest Ride and Long Hill Road, to a point 250 metres east of said junction;
ii) B3430 New Forest Ride from its roundabout junction with A329 London Road and Long Hill Road to its roundabout junction with Braybrooke Road;
iii) Long Hill Road from its roundabout junction with A329 London Road and B3430 New Forest Ride to a point 175 metres north of said junction.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be safely executed on the carriageway, namely modifications to the junction of A329 London Road/B3430 New Forest Ride and Long Hill Road (Martins Heron roundabout). The Order was made on the 18th December 2017 and will come into operation on the 2nd January 2018. Although the Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months it is anticipated that the works requiring the temporary speed limit will take approximately 10 months to complete.
